The Advanced Photography course in Sydney has been designed to impart a high level of proficiency to the serious amateur photographer or to someone considering a career in photography. This course teaches you to shoot at a professional level. The key focus on this course is in upgrading your photographic technical and artistic skills.
A series of workshops will cover landscapes, nature, portraits, architecture, product, food, action and more. We also examine various camera systems such as gimbals and drones to expand your imaging repertoire. Places visited include South Head, Vaucluse House and Bondi. Your instructors are professional commercial photographers allowing you to draw upon their depth of knowledge.
■ Equipment review, your camera, your lenses & systems
■ Accessories, filters, tripods, reflectors, external Speedlites
■ Landscapes, portraiture, still life, architecture, nature
■ Shooting modes, RAW vs JPEG, bracketing, HDR, picture style
■ Camaraderie with fellow course members and skills sharing
■ Previous photographic experience required ( talk to us or by request we have a quick test as to your suitability to do this course)
■ Any full or cropped frame DSLR camera, mirrorless camera, quality compact is ideal*
■ Memory Card(s): we recommend at least a 8 GB card for the full 8 hour course
■ Charged camera battery and a spare if you have one
■ A wide-angle is useful for landscapes. A telephoto for wildlife
■ Your camera instruction book or we can access information on a smartphone
■ Whilst this is not a physically demanding course you should be able to walk 5-8km over the course of 8 hours
■ Inclusions: instruction from professional photographers, detailed notes
