Jervis Bay has remained relatively unscathed from the ravages of development and this area of outstanding beauty makes for an ideal short break.

We concentrate on nature and seascape photography throughout our two days...including walks and a boat cruise.

We are up at dawn on Saturday, spending the entire day on the tranquil Bay beaches and heath lands. We snap Lorikeets chattering amongst the Scribbly Barks and Blackbutt trees, take close ups of the Jervis Bay Grevillea and the Little Pied Cormorant and if we're lucky, see the Short beaked Echidna before it scuttles off into the Pink Swamp Heath. Dolphins are often surfing the bay waves and the light has a pearly, luminescent quality.

On Sunday, we take a nature boat cruise on Jervis Bay. Dolphins surf the bow waves and we pull into isolated coves and explore the colourful world of rock pools with our macro lenses. After enjoying lunch at the popular Huskie pub, we trek to Cave beach photographing the open ocean seascapes, finishing off this magnificent weekend at Summercloud Bay.
