The Creative Institute of Australia is proud to offer unit 1 of its professional photography program to students new to photography  looking for a professional based program that centers on quality DSLR camera operations, light and composition. 

Unit 1 is a perfect foundation unit for students requiring an intensive photographic tuition leading to professional practice, career changes or adding to their current portfolio of skills.

This part time evening program is supported by quality course materials and practical assignments.  This unit is a pre requisite to advanced studies within the Creative Institute of Australia course framework.

Students attend 1 evening class per week between the hours of 6:30pm - 9:30pm for a total of 9 classes at our professional studios and complete a portfolio for presentation and a  practical Saturday workshop at the conclusion of the unit.

Enrollments are limited to 10 students per class and students have access through our online learning system to submit ongoing work for feedback outside their scheduled class time.  

The institute is an affiliate of the Australian Institute of Professional Photography (AIPP) and all our lecturers are practicing commercial professionals.
